Hehe, I had a good X-mas (which I still don’t know how to spell.) I got a bunch of picture frames, some plushies, a Triange and Treasure Planet! :D

As of late, however, I’ve been keeping myself very busy. I started a drawing frenzy as soon as X-mas break started and have since then uploaded 70 pictures and have completed the large majority of them. My Deviant Art had even marked December 2008 as the month I’ve uploaded more pictures then any past month. Which is pretty good because before I use to upload only sketches and now I actually take the time to finish the pictures before showcasing them.

I’m currently working on Saberio’s reference sheet, Steven Cat’s pictures for January (getting them all ready ahead of time), my Xurtahame plush and various other miscellaneous work.

And now, here is my adorable little Xurt: *pokes*

I shall start off my saying that I FINALLY finished Scap's Reference Sheet!

Moving on, because CNN Headline Prime is the only channel at work, and because I work from nine to ten P.M. usually, the only show I ever get to watch down there is Nancy Grace. Long story short, I’ve been following the Caylee Anthony case (although unwillingly) since it started. Just yesterday I saw the LIVE announcement from the medical examiner who confirmed that the remains of the small child that were found did indeed belong to Caylee Anthony. It was so exciting that I saw this live (especially after hearing about it for six long months!) The wonders of technology! Perhaps some day I shall grow use to how they can show live stuff on TV. When that happens I’ll be able to marvel at the other wondrous technology that we have these days... like the internet! Give me another twenty years and I might be able to accept you too, internet...!

Tony recently visited, and we had a lot of exciting adventures. So let me start of by saying that...

Me and Tony had a wonderful time surviving a vicious ice storm! Afterwards, when everything was caked in ice, I manly de-iced his car and had a lot of fun in the process (you should of seen that ice I was scraping off!) The next day, I was de-icing my own car, and Mike was all “Wow Britt, you’re a beast at this!” and I was all “I know! That’s what Tony said last night!” B3

SILENCE.

I also, for the first (and probably last) time kept calm during a dangerous situation (We were gonna get eat’d by snow plows!) I was all “I know how to get us out of dah Snow!” and Tony was all PANIC PANIC PANIC (or maybe just one panic... I don’t think he was quite that bad.) I only post this because it is usually I who is the one panicking. It was interesting to be on the other side of this, for once.

Now here are some random Mike quotes:

“Oh! You’re the best Britt ever! 10 out of 10! Thank you, Santa.”

/Gazes into my eyes lovingly.
“Oh Britt” Mike says “You have so many things on your chin that I could pop.”
AWKWARD SILENCE
“Oh wait, that’s an awful thing to say to a person. I am sorr-”
/SLAPS

Sorry for out disjointed this post is. I had a variety of things to talk about, but I failed at making the transitions from one subject to another, it would seem.

I shall end this post with a picture of Xurtahame and Falocity. Falo's cloths are drastically lacking in this image. That's because I usually add his fishnet digitally, and because I was putting off doodling his annoying pants, so in this sketch they hadn't been drawn yet.

I lost my internet for a while there. I called Comcast, but they wouldn’t send anyone for a whole week! Since I am behind, I’ll start with what happen last Saturday on the sixth. I had recently completely rearranged my whole room and had to go out and buy a new computer chair. The rearranging took two days. I mostly boxed up a lot of the stuff I don’t use anymore, and made my room more spacious. The main things that remain out in my room now are my computer, art supplies, and books.

While out shopping for my new chair, Mike bought a baby black and white fancy hamster. He is name Michelangelo, or lil’ Mike. The little guy is incredibly fond of his wheel and over-stuffing his cheeks.

Later in the day, we again went out to go see the movie Bolt, which I thought was adorable. The last time I had been to the movie theaters was to see The Last Mimzy, so it had been a while. Bolt was in 3D, though I don’t much know if my glasses were working correctly. It seemed odd to have to wear glasses over glasses.

Afterwards I was trying to figure out what dog breed bolt was. I was pretty sure he was a Bull Terrier, do to his pointed ears and body shape (His chest was noticeably close to the ground, like a Bull Terrier) However, it did not account for his fur or unique tail. Apparently, Bolt is actually a White German Shepard. I hadn’t even heard of this breed, and I’m usually pretty good with dog breeds, having read about them frequently as a child.

I did notice recently, that I am ironically bad with cat breeds. There was a special on Animal Planet called Cats 101 that covered the many cat breeds. I figured out that Karlee is a Marine Coon, and Phoenix is a American Short Hair, though I am not sure what Steven was.

I have been missing Steven a lot recently. I also have not been feeling too well. Finals are tomorrow, and I don’t think they’ll go so well.

Randomly enough, this week's picture is Pterry.

I ended up missing out on Thanksgiving. My family never celebrates it, my grandparents were busy with other matters and I showed up at Mike's too late to eat with his family. I did end up eating a whole apple pie and half a pumpkin pie, though.

Mike had planned for us to get up at five in the morning the next day on Black Friday for the deals. Eating one and a half pies on Thanksgiving was not the brightest of ideas, as I suffered from a pie hangover the whole time. We went prancing around the Walmart aisles at six in the morning while singing that annoying yet ever-so-catchy Lovefool song the whole time.

During our shopping spree, I picked up the supplies I need for my Xurtahame plush. At the moment I have no images of him for you, as he is still a work in progress. I hope to complete him by January. He will probably end up being posted on my Deviant Art account after he is completed.

Sewing is a hobby that I have not spent much time doing as of late. The last time I sewed a plush was back during the summer. Plushies tend to be time consuming and requires new materials, fabrics, threads, etc. I was sewing my Xurt-a-plush, for example, from eight in the morning until five at night one day, and he still has a while until completion. I have been using some of my old shirts and jeans for fabric on him, as I don't have any money of my own to buy supplies with.

Speaking of sewing, I recently got around to organizing my sewing box. I had two problems, first off, my thread would roll around in it and get all tangled. The second problem is that the needles would just not stay in their little shelf.

I figured out that the best way to organize the thread would be to put them on some kind of rod. I was finally able to use my collection of rock candy sticks for this project. I poked them through bottle caps, making the bottle cap into a little stand for the sticks (The wooden ball on the rock candy sticks was in the bottle cap.) I made about seven of these little stands, then I pushed them all through an old mouse pad, in order to keep them from falling over in the sewing box. This also held them all together, and the little bottle caps acted like the legs for my mouse pad thread-holding table. This mouse pad fit perfectly into the bottom of my sewing box. I stack the thread on the rock candy sticks, which holds about three spools each (depending on the size of the spool.) In short, I found a practical use for all the junk that I horde that involved commencing in an overly-complicated and time consuming project. I do always feel so creative and accomplished when they are done, though.

Oh, and the needles? Yeah, no complicated project there. Mike suggested putting them on a fridge magnet, which worked perfectly.

Erm, moving on... The first snow fall of the year was on the last day of November (yesterday, if you recall?) It was perfect packing snow, which I used to make a super cute snow cat. Since I'm always playing the starving artist gig, and don't always have the money to finish my expensive art projects (feel free to scroll up and read about my Xurt-a-plush again?) it was nice to have a large supply of perfect sculpting materials delivered to me for free. I soon became preoccupied with it, and worked for three hours making the following snow statue:

I only wish I could of gotten more shots of its tail, as it curls around the lamppost. It is a very large cat, and it was exhausting to construct. How exhausting, I didn't really learn until today. I woke up so muscle sore that I can barely move at all. My arms, legs, back and every else ache horribly, and I usually like being muscle sore! Also while making my snow cat, I became soaking wet. Go figure today I would have an awful runny nose and a high temperature. ~_~

As I am aching and sick, I shall end this entry with yet another picture of Wyssu. Next entry will have a different character, I swear!

Aww. I was doing so well keeping up with updates, too. :/ October and most of November seems to have gotten away from me. Ah well.

I'm going to keep up with posting sketches too. Here is one I doodled of Wyssu.

I shall first direction your attention to my new icon. How perfect is it that I made a raining icon after all the mass flooding we have been having! I actually found the 50x50 icon of the mouse with the umbrella in my picture folder. I'm assuming I had meant to animate it in some kind of falling motion, but had been to lazy to do so at the time.

I suppose now I should update as to what I've been up to in this pass week. The answer to that is this: Studying Spanish and drawing. I have finally got my International English to work on my keyboard, so perhaps I can do small updates in Spanish in the near future.

With all the news about Spanish out of the way, I suppose now we shall talk about the drawing.

Here is a cute little doodle I did in class of Xurt (center), being clung too by Zemma, (left) and being scrutinized by Wyssu (right.)
